CORNER BROOK, NL — The Corner Brook Port Corporation (CBPC) has unveiled a refreshed brand identity, signaling a new chapter for the organization and aligning its visual identity with current operations and future growth priorities. This new identity represents a strategic step forward, positioning the Port to strengthen its presence across cruise tourism, industrial operations, real estate, as well as supporting new opportunities in emerging and evolving sectors.

“This brand represents more than a visual change—it reflects where we are today as an organization and where we are going. It positions the Port of Corner Brook as a modern, competitive hub for trade, cruise, and investment, and supports our role in driving economic growth across Western Newfoundland.”

— Kelly Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Corner Brook Port Corporation

With support from the Government of Canada, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, CBPC is enhancing its digital presence and marketing tools to strengthen engagement with industry partners, port users, and the broader community. Initiatives include a redesigned website, refreshed marketing materials, and an expanded presence at industry events and trade shows, supported by CBPC’s first full suite of branded booth assets. Together, these enhancements strengthen the Port’s market presence and support efforts to attract new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.

“By strengthening its brand, the Corner Brook Port Corporation is driving economic growth while showcasing the western Newfoundland region to the world. Through ACOA, the Government of Canada is helping the Port boost the region’s visibility and competitiveness, reinforcing its role as a key tourism destination and trade hub in Atlantic Canada.”

— Honourable Sean Fraser, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency

“Driven by purpose, the Corner Brook Port Corporation’s brand refresh positions the Port as a welcoming gateway, connecting a re-energized Newfoundland and Labrador story with the world. It captures where the Port is headed – building momentum in tourism, trade, and investment that supports good jobs and stronger regional growth for western Newfoundland.”

— Honourable Lin Paddock, Minister of Jobs, Growth and Rural Development

Behind the logo

Inspired by the Port’s geographic location in the Bay of Islands, the new logo features a stylized ship complemented by a western sunset, capturing the region’s marine environment and distinctive coastal landscape. The colour palette carries symbolic meaning, with the cobalt blue representing the ocean and the Port’s maritime foundation, while the red, orange, and yellow hues evoke the warmth of a golden sunset. The design balances a modern, innovative aesthetic with a timeless, grounded feel, creating a visual identity rooted in place while illustrating the Port’s forward-looking vision. As a community-based, independent port, CBPC continues to focus on driving regional economic activity through increased visibility and strategic partnerships. The refreshed brand supports this mandate by strengthening the Port’s market position and reinforcing its commitment to long-term growth across all lines of business. The new identity will be rolled out across CBPC’s signage, digital platforms, stakeholder communications, and marketing materials over the coming weeks, ensuring a consistent presence across all touchpoints.
