Summer Job Opportunity – Project Administration Officer (CSJ)
Job Type: full-time (minimum 8 weeks)
Rate of Pay: $18.00 per hour
Location: Corner Brook, NL
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Project Administration Officer will assist with the planning and coordination of key corporate events including the 20th anniversary of the Port and assist with the cruise program. The successful candidate will:
- Gather and analyze historical data about the incorporation and subsequent growth of the Port of Corner Brook. Prepare a summary of findings and develop a communication plan to highlight the port’s operational milestones to its stakeholders.
- Support the implementation and evaluation of the cruise program at the Port of Corner Brook.
- Other administrative duties as required.
Requirements: The ideal candidate is an indigenous youth, currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution studying business, marketing or a similar program. However, all interested applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. The requirements of this position also include:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient in MS Office including word, excel and outlook.
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently to complete assignments with minimal direction.
Eligibility: This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants meeting the following requirements are eligible to apply.
- Between the ages of 15 and 30 years old.
- Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
- Valid Social Insurance Number.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
